When we visited Avalon for the first time, my sister said, “This house feels like a warm, home to me!”  Our entire family felt the same way.   The staff are all very positive, thoughtful and genuinely care about making connections with the residents AND their family.   From the lovely suites, to the delicious meals served in a beautiful, windowed dining room overlooking the gardens and lawns to the activities each day, residents feel respected in a nurturing home.  Avalon truly is a “magical” place!

We were relieved and grateful to find Avalon after an unpleasant experience at another resident facility.  Their staff provided touching and personal care.  Hellen and Kristina especially stood out for their efforts-real gems!   When my husband's appetite started to diminish they bought his favorite fruits and made his beloved Eggs Benedict!  The facility was well-cared for, extremely clean, sunny and bright.  Amy, Director of Nursing was present almost every day with a backup nurse when she wasn't.  Every question or concern was promptly addressed and handled.  Mike the owner was also there most weekdays and spent time chatting with the residents and supporting Amy in any household needs.  They both bent over backwards to help us in the last weeks of hospice care.

We have been extremely impressed with Avalon since before my mom moved in 8 months ago. Mike and Amy went above and beyond to make the transition to Avalon as smooth as possible. The staff is friendly and attentive and the level of care is unmatched compared to a large assisted living facility. They are always welcoming to friends and family coming to visit and have a beautiful backyard and deck.
